Simaka receives a grant for the development of a highly efficient vaporizer system for cryogenic gases. The project is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.

The aim of the research is to use large quantities of previously unused energy efficiently elsewhere.

Gases such as nitrogen or oxygen are liquefied before transportation in order to achieve the highest possible storage densities or low transport volumes. At the customer's site, these are then converted into the gas phase using atmospheric vaporizers and fed into the respective process. In this way, large amounts of cooling energy escape unused into the atmosphere.

With the new systems to be developed by Simaka, the operator will be able to recover this energy almost without conversion and transfer it to a usable heat medium.

Every kilowatt hour of cooling generated in this way no longer has to be produced by expensive cooling units and chillers. This significantly reduces electricity, operating costs and CO2 emissions.
