Newly developed heat pump range receives A+++ energy label

Two EU energy labels for heat pumps showing energy efficiency class A+++ and sound power levels.

In light of the new F-Gas Regulation No. 517/2014, which, among other things, provides for a reduction in emissions of fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-gases) by 2030, Simaka has revised its heat pump range between 50 kW and 100 kW.

The design and familiar appearance have been retained. The inner workings, and therefore the heart of the system, have been completely redesigned and reassembled.

Although the refrigerants currently used in the heat pumps may still be used, Simaka is looking to the future and is preparing for the substitution of refrigerants with more climate-friendly gases. It is important that the gases are non-toxic, stable, thermodynamically suitable and, above all, have a low GWP (Global Warming Potential).

The conversion of Simaka heat pumps to an alternative refrigerant is now being successively driven forward for all performance ranges offered. Two of the pioneering systems have been officially tested at the heat pump test center and found to be very efficient.

The tested brine/water heat pump can be labeled A+++ /192.8%.

The tested water-to-water heat pump can be labeled A+++ / 216%.
